InfoWoman is the fruit of an idea of a group of women (three to be exact) who, in 1995, decided to found "Il Cenacolo", a non-profit, independent, international association that chose women and young people as its area of activity and intervention.

Women were chosen because they are the fulcrum of the renewal of the world. If they are not transformed (and if they do not help themselves in this silent and inexorable revolution) nothing will be changed. Young people were chosen because they are the future of humanity.

Three years of work in silence, alone, with passion. Three years of projects, ideas and initiatives that have materialized: a publisher for books and texts, a project on information, a new type of training, courses for learning about the pleasure of art-- all of these and still others in the programming stage. New ideas, new spaces, new words and new actions. This group wants to do and to recount its doing and to share its experiences and enrichment with others.

This information is open to all those who wish to have a dialogue with us; intelligent information for reading and interpreting what happens; information useful for the growth of those who wish to follow us in this adventure; information without boundaries because we live in the era of globalization, in an immeasurably large world which is also, incredibly, within the reach of everyone; active information because creating information is giving form to reality. It is a concrete way of favoring the knowledge of human rights, of helping to build a different world and a civil society, not only in name but also in fact.

The Commission on the Status of Women

The international association "Il Cenacolo" was credited for participating in the work of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which took place at the United Nations building in New York from March 1-12, 1998.

The work of the commission was limited to delegations from countries and representatives from Ngo (non governing associations) from the entire world. "Il Cenacolo's" participants included Loretta Lorenzini (President), Natalia Encolpio (Director of Infowoman), Silvia Meneghetti and Aurora Meneghetti (who followed the activities centered on the situation of young people). These days were intense with exchanges and contacts. "Il Cenacolo" participated in work sessions illustrating to other participants (from the governing delegations and Ngo) how the use of the Iso Ontist methodology provides an innovative approach to various problematic realities.

During work meetings, the areas of activity and the projects of "Il Cenacolo" were presented, including: InFormaDonna, Iso-Ontism and the Aia courses. The novelties and the methodology illustrated raised great interest among the other participants.

WEDO

Another project "Il Cenacolo" is working on together with WEDO (Women's Environment Developing Organization) is the preparation of questionnaires and forms for monitoring the Italian and European situation on topics of environmental health, in view of the 1999 meeting in Cairo.

ITWC

For the information chapter, an nderstanding has been reached with ITWC (International Tribune Women's Center) for exchanging (via the Internet and the Newsletter) news and information on the female universe--a bridge for uniting Europe, America, Africa and Asia.

All professional areas are moving toward increasing specialization and sectionalism of their employees. However, at the same time the phenomenon has emerged of top specialists’ progressive inability to objectify and resolve at their roots the same specific problems they have been trained to handle. In fact, the technical solutions in specific sectors lose their creativity and appropriateness to the situation in that they do not take into account the connections between different more or less contiguous areas, and the gestalts or structural cycles emerging from them. Specialization shows the need for a professional figure able to tackle the whole, or key, of a global problematic context apart from successive sectorial results. Therefore, a specific technician is needed to identify and evolve the optimal order of a situation with a rationally defined methodology.

At present, in order to interpret and catalogue a state of crisis or potential development, one proceeds more or less consciously by means of stereotypes, experiential or empirical inference. The request and intervention of consultants are launched from this interpretation: economic, legal, psychological, technological, etc. But, moving from an intuitive hypothesis on the problematic fact means structuring the analytic terms of the problem on opinion and its subjective limits; thus, these are faced individually in an approach that already lacks certainty. It is not difficult to demonstrate how sensational failures of highly qualified interventions are rooted in an error in approach or interpretation of the overall problematic context. The major reason lies in the multiplicity of factors at play in a globalized world and in increasingly rapid transformation (worldwide information, technological development, progressive empowerment of human capacities, internationalization of markets, competition, open system enterprises, increasingly exacting and informed consumers, less and less homogeneous and predictable market sectors, failure of old socio-economic-productive and political realities)

Training course. The objective of the course is to train a strategic, comprehensive, Iso-ontic counselor, a new professional figure, registered (CCIA 20.11.1997 RM 97COO5645) and recognized in Italy, characterized by a broad applicative field, responding to new management and organizational needs created by world globalization.

Competences. The professional trained by the course possesses a technique of identification and correct interpretation of all elements and variables at play in any problematic situation—from human to systemic ones—free from psychological, customary, cultural and experiential type interference. For this reason, hard and selective training is provided in real self-control and in cognitive and intellectual processes, in an adequate critical capacity and a basic, specific, 360-degree functional culture (for example, including real knowledge of the psychologies of individual foreign markets). The professional is able to provide the initial objectivity for analytically revealing the common key to the problematic situations he is faced with, to grasp the solution, and to set up possible further interventions of specific technicians with scientific certainty. Therefore, Iso-ontic training typifies a technician of essence able to operate decisively in any context with appropriate strategic instrumentation.

Applications. The Iso-ontist finds his ideal position in the current global economic, productive and political horizon, where there is an increasing demand for management consultancy that is usually comprehensive and personalized. Typical areas of application include some of the problems most difficult to manage at the organizational level; for example, organizational succession, competition in global scenarios, work mediation and organizational relations, participation in tenders and mediation with public bodies. Positions of decision-making responsibility (entrepreneur, manager, director) or linking and  mediation figures within the enterprise are the natural recipients of this training; however, freelance activity by the Iso-ontist is equally valid.

Execution of course. The course will be taught by university professors and professionals of international renown. It will span a two-year period and will include a total of 1,200 hours, 700 of which will be dedicated to the practice of specific strategic instruments. Each year will be divided into three sessions: summer (March-June), fall (September-November) and winter (January-February). In the first year, the winter session will be dedicated to practical training and in the second year, to stages with world experts and to exams. Disciplines include the following. Epistemic Philosophy, Biophysics, Human Physiopathology, Reading and Analysis of Images, Psychology of Perception, Political Economy, Law, Organizational Management, Private and Public Synergies, Iso-Ontic Counseling. Access to the course is determined by results of an individual exam to evaluate candidates’ natural attitudes and basic cultural background. Those admitted to take the exam include: diploma holders or university graduates already active in the work world; university graduates in areas compatible with Iso-ontic freelancing (Psychology, Philosophy, Education, Social Sciences, Economics and Business, Political Science, Literature and History of Art).
